What Is Skin Tightening?

As children, we all dreamed about how great it would be to grow up so that we could drive, then go off to college or work, and have our own places with our own families. Then, when we hit our late-twenties and started to see signs of aging creeping in, all we wanted to do was to turn back the hands of time! As we age, our body slows the production of collagen and the results are fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin that is losing its elasticity. If this is something you are experiencing, don’t worry! Skin Tightening can help you look younger and healthier by building collagen and improving elasticity!

What Is Skin Tightening?

Forma is a non-invasive, thermal skin treatment that uses radiofrequency to target deep into the skin’s layers to improve elasticity and build collagen. It can be used on forehead lines, crow’s feet, brows, bags under the eyes, and skin on the neck. It can tighten the jawline, remove folds, lift the eyes and sculpt the cheeks. Forma treatments can help to create a tighter, smoother, and more youthful look. It is safe and effective on any skin type.

Take the first step. How Does Forma Work?

The basic science behind Forma is that radiofrequency energy creates heat in the deep layers of the skin. This heat stimulates the tissue to contract and tighten which enhances the skin’s appearance while increasing the production of collagen in the process. The increased collagen production helps give your skin a firmer foundation which will improve your skin’s elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles over time.

Forma treatments will take approximately 30-60 minutes to complete and begin with the placement of a cool gel on the treatment area. Next, a handheld device will be applied over the treatment area for the determined amount of time. At the conclusion of the treatment, the gel is washed off and moisturizer applied. Your series of 6 treatments will then be scheduled one week apart until all treatments are completed.

This non-invasive treatment is an excellent place to begin your journey toward firmer, younger-looking skin. Because there is no downtime, Forma treatments fit well into a busy schedule and an active lifestyle. We would love to answer any other questions you have during an in-person consultation.
