Understanding Chemical Peels
A chemical peel is a procedure used to treat acne, skin issues and help with cell rejuvenation. Alpha hydroxyl acid, an acid derived from almond fruit, is used as the base ingredient in mesoesthetic chemical peels. The producers are non-intrusive, gentle on the skin, and in most cases, allow clients to resume their daily routine right after a treatment.*
A Jessner Peel is a special peel primarily used for acne control and skin rejuvenation*. Jessner Peels can only be used by registered dermatologists and require a medical assessment before having an approved treatment. This peel is often combined with other cosmetic mesoesthetic peels. This peel is comprised of salicylic, lactic and citric acids.
A Melanostop peel is used to treat hyperpigmentation and acne*. Melanostop peels can only administered after and examination and skin diagnosis. This peel can be combined with other cosmetic mesoesthetic peels. The Melanostop peel is comprised of azelaic, resorcinol and phytic acids.
The Piruvex peel is used to treat deep wrinkles, damaged and aging skin. The Piruvex peel is only available after receiving a recommendation from your doctor. The peel is comprised of lactic and pyruvic acids.
The TCA peel is used to exfoliate layers of dead skin so that new skin cells can surface while still improving acne control*. The treatment dries up the top skin layer causing it to slowly peel off naturally for a few days. The dead skin layer will be replaced with new cells causing your skin to look smoother and healthier. This peel uses trichloracetic acid, also known as ‘TCA”.
The Glycolic peel helps loosen and weaken skin cells so that the cells underneath are able to surface. This peel is primarily used to improve your skin’s appearance in areas that have been affected by brown spot or age spots. This peel contains glycolic acid, which is a primary ingredient in many acne care products.
The Salicylic peel treats acne and helps with skin exfoliation by penetrating deeply into the skin layer and reaching hair follicles. Cleaning out your hair follicles helps in clearing clogged pores, which may result in clearer and healthy skin*. The salicylic peel uses a beta hydroxyl acid, which helps control non-inflamed acne.
The Lactic peel is a natural exfoliation process to make your skin look revitalized by improving your wrinkles, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation*. The lactic peel helps increase the amount of natural moisture in your skin. The peel uses only natural ingredients including alpha hydroxyl acid.
