Skin Tightening

Our skin starts to lose collagen and firmness as we progress through the aging cycle. Your skin may also show the effects of weight loss, surgical operations, and pregnancy. The skin can start to wrinkle and sag but fortunately there are revolutionary new technologies available to help your skin regain the appearance of youthfulness.

Dual-layer Accent Thermotherapy

This treatment provides smoother and tighter skin with a non-invasive procedure. Accent Thermotherapy uses radiofrequency technology to treat fine lines and wrinkles and is effective in tightening skin. In clinical studies, thousands of patients experienced toning results and skin tightening*. Accent promotes the production of healthy collagen and improves the contours of the body.

How does radio frequency skin tightening work?

A technician will heat a precise area on the skin’s inner layer, which is the dermis. Two types of radio-frequencies are used to produce this heat called bipolar and unipolar. In combination, these two radio-frequencies are able to reach different levels in the skin. As these different depths are heated, new collagen is formed. Elasticity returns to this skin that is now smooth and firm.

The benefits of a dual-layer treatment

The bipolar heating treatment works on the skin’s surface layer, which is more delicate and thinner than the skin below it. This type of radio-frequency would be used on areas such as the face to smooth wrinkles and fine lines*. The unipolar heating treatment penetrates deeper to provide thermotherapy. Electromagnetic fields are generated that provide heat to these deeper tissues and this provides overall tightening to the area*. This is a non-invasive method.

Your skin texture may improve, as new collagen is stimulated into production. The Accent system is a quick and easy procedure that doesn’t require any anesthesia or a long recovery time.* You’ll be able to resume your day-to-day activities immediately after treatment.

Dual laser thermotherapy treatments can be applied to any part of the body. Usually they are used to firm the skin on the neck, under the upper arms and on the face. This process is also used on sagging skin that can be found on the thighs or the abdomen following a pregnancy or surgery.
