Juvederm Vollure is injected into the treatment area just below the skin with a very small needle. The product is then massaged gently to ensure even distribution and proper shaping. The injection contains lidocaine to prevent patients from feeling pain during the injections so the entire process is fairly comfortable. Many patients will experience some bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection sites, but these problems subside within a week from the treatment.

A typical Vollure treatment will take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated, the severity of the folds and wrinkles being treated, and the patient’s desired outcomes. In more severe cases, more than one treatment may be needed to reach the patient’s ultimate goal.
